3-1 Discussion: Relevant Theory
In this discussion, you will identify a theory you will use to guide your
research and summarize research you have found related to the theory.
You will also give your classmates feedback on their summary of
research on the theory they chose. This discussion will help you prepare
the Milestone Two literature review.
First, identify at least one theory that you will use to guide your research.
The theory should help explain your chosen topic. It should also help
explain your choice of basic or applied research.
For your initial discussion post:
● Identify the theory you chose and provide a brief overview.
● Discuss why you chose this theory.
○ How does this theory apply to your topic of interest?
● Provide a summary of related research that may both support and
challenge this theory and its application.
