Fasting Blood Glucose Levels in Diabetic and Non-Diabetic Adults:
A hypothetical dataset of sample size 120 has been generated to explore
differences in fasting blood glucose levels between diabetic and non-diabetic
adult patients (>30 years). Additional demographic and clinical variables such as
age, BMI, and sex are included for statistical illustration and analysis purposes.
Using the attached dataset, perform the following tasks in SPSS and answer
each question in a Word document: (2 points for each correct answer)

1. Descriptive Statistics: Compute descriptive summary statistics (Mean,
Standard Deviation, Minimum, Maximum) for Age, BMI, and
FastingGlucose by Group.
2. Normality Test: Perform a normality test for fasting glucose in both
groups and determine whether the data follow a normal distribution.
3. Group Comparison: Define hypotheses and test for a significant
difference in mean fasting glucose between the two groups using the
appropriate statistical test (e.g., Independent Samples t-test or Mann–
Whitney U test).
4. Correlation Analysis: Test the correlation between Age and
FastingGlucose across all participants.
5. Interpretation and Reporting: Report and interpret your results for each
finding (3–4 lines), including summary staistics, test type, p-value, and
conclusion at a 5% significance level.
