Technical requirement:
1- Internet.

2- Microsoft Word (for writing the reflection).

3- Sketch Engine account (trial/student).

As you practiced in class, go through the provided text below and complete the following:

Text for Analysis
“Technology is transforming the way we think about food and agriculture. From vertical farming to alternative proteins, innovations are addressing global challenges of food security, sustainability, and climate change. In Saudi Arabia, foodtech initiatives are becoming a cornerstone of Vision 2030, linking tradition with modern innovation”.

Steps:

1. Upload or paste the text into Sketch Engine.

2. Run two functions:
– Word Frequency List
– Concordance

3. Present the results with screenshots (Word Frequency List and Concordance)

4. Write a short reflection (100–150 words) on what you learned from this analysis and how Sketch Engine can support translation and research.

You will be evaluated on the following items:

  • Was the student able to provide a clear screenshot of the Word Frequency List? (1 pt)
  • Was the student able to provide a clear screenshot of the Concordance results? (1 pt)
  • Was the student able to write a clear and thoughtful Reflection explaining the screenshots (100–150 words)? (3 pts)
