The Purpose of This Activity: This activity will allow team members to explore their own thoughts and personal story with leadership. Team members will have the opportunity to identify what it means to be a good leader and learn from one another’s personal definitions and ideas.
Goals: Allow leadership development and critical thinking. Analyze what it means to represent and lead others in daily life. We have all been members and leaders of groups. In this activity, your team will use some common sayings and thoughts about leadership to discuss what it means to lead others. There are many different styles, ideologies, and opinions on leadership, and for this ice breaker activity, your team will discuss some of them, and try to identify which methods work the best in the diversity conversation.
How to Play
1. Use the Google Slides presentation to take turns reading the following quotes one at a time. Don’t discuss the quotes until they are all read. However, choose the quote that resonates the most with you — positively, negatively, or for another reason.
