  1. Describe examples of the religious nature of human beings (also known as the “religious sense”) as it appears in contemporary culture. Be sure to explain your reasons for understanding your examples according to the content presented or that which you read.
  2. Can you relate to the “religious sense”? Why or why not? Please provide reasons or examples from your own life.

Submission Instructions:

  • Please answer each discussion question and provide evidence for the claims you make (8-10 sentences total). Please employ proper grammar and spelling to fully articulate your ideas.
  • Make reference to at least 2 other sources (e.g., lecture material, reading, articles from news outlets, examples from pop culture, etc.). Please employ Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) for your references.
    • If you are unfamiliar with CMOS, please view this resource.
    • If you are unfamiliar with how to add footnotes to a Word document, please watch this videoLinks to an external site..
    • We recommend crafting your Discussion Post in a Word document with footnotes, then copy/paste your text into the Discussion Post in Canvas. • Your initial post is worth 40 points.
  • You should respond to at least one of your peers by extending, refuting/correcting, or adding additional nuance to their posts. Your reply post is worth 10 points.
  • All replies must be constructive and use literature where possible.
  • Please post your initial response by 11:59 PM ET Thursday, and comment on the post of at least one classmate by 11:59 PM ET Sunday.
  • You can expect feedback from the instructor within 48 to 72 hours from the Sunday due date.
