PART 1- Module 2 – DISCUSSION 2

Violent vs. Nonviolent Solutions

After studying Module 2: Lecture Materials & Resources, discuss the following:

Violent solutions are temporary solutions. Nonviolent solutions are more permanent due to the fact that the process for achieving the solution is consistent with the goal. It was said by Napoleon that everything taken by force is temporary. Nonviolence is more permanent because it is based on social growth, human reconciliation, and changing conditions.

With respect to this statement, how would you apply it to the conflict found in Ukraine and Russia? The more that is known about a situation from multiple points of view, the better the whole picture comes into view. Knowing the history of conflict between two parties can also give insight into a solution. Analyze three articles related to the Ukraine/Russia conflict. You must use at least one in-text citation per article in your initial post that is in the current APA format and be sure to include article citations at the end of your post.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The essay is to be clear and concise, and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, misspellings, and incorrect APA format.
  • Your essay should be a minimum of 200 words in length, using 3 ACADEMIC SOURCES, APA FORMAT, excluding the title and references page.
