General Instructions
Following each group session, students provide a journal entry for the session.
Description of the group as a whole –
a. Overview of the session including topic of greatest interest to the group
b. Overall mood of the session and group including what changes, if any, you noticed c. Activity level of the group
Self-appraisal –
a. Topic of greatest interest to you
b. Your mood in the session including what changes, if any, you noticed
c. Your activity level in the group
Description of one member –
a. Something you admire or something you noticed as a characteristic of one member
What you learned –
a. If you were leading the activity, is there anything you would have done differently? (also applies if you DID lead the activity this week)
b. How might something from group this week help your understanding of group? (can be about the process, the stage of group, group dynamics, or something you realized about
yourself that will benefit your growth as a counselor (Learning objective 7 CACREP Section II G. 6. e.).
