1-samantha -This is my unhealthy

response as the director of

clinical services. This is not fair. My department makes money.

I’m not sure why the director of transitional housing

is even speaking. I’m not even sure why we have a

director of transitional housing when there’s only one other

worker in her program. Perhaps it was the

responsibility of the finance. department to make

sure that we have money so that the agency

doesn’t lose money. It’s not the responsibility of any of the other managers here. And I think that if

clinical services is the only department in people

first, that’s actually bringing in money,

then we should not even be a part of this

budget cut conversation. I think that that is

totally inappropriate. And we need to look at

why a program that has one man, and one case manager

is not being condensed into one worker. That

would save a lot of money. That’s at least one salary

right there we could save. This is my healthy response. Hi, guys, as the Director

of Clinical Services, I would like to just share

my thoughts. So I know that these budget cuts are

stressful, difficult on all of us and we all feel

that the weight of the decision and I think that

instead of any of us trying to decide right now which

department should lose staff I think we should look

at ways across the board where we can see this as

an opportunity to cross -train everybody and or do

some reductions to staff where it makes sense I

think that if we do more of work creatively to save

as many jobs as possible, then we have an

opportunity here to be more productive. I think while we

know that the clinic makes money, it also spends

about $120,000 of the $125 ,000 that it makes. And so

I know that it may need to be looked at. We can

look in that area to try to save money. We’re also

spending about $100,000. In fundraising for event

planning and if that’s our fundraising goal is to

make money then perhaps if we trim back some of the

money that we’re spending to even raise money that

would be helpful same with the outreach and

marketing we’re spending about $25,000 printing up

flyers and we already have printers and technology

here that we could probably do some of that here in

the office with the office supplies that we’re already

paying for Thank you.

2-savanna -Hello. Today I’m going to

play on a director of clinical services and

I’m going to act out two responses. One

is unhealthy conflict and the other will

be healthy conflict. So here’s the first. That’s completely ridiculous. The medical clinic

plays a crucial role and suggests that therapy

services overstaffed, it’s completely unfound. You clearly don’t understand the value of the work we do. Our department is

already stretched thin, and cutting staff will be a disaster for patient care. Frankly, I don’t even see why this

is even being discussed. It’s a waste of time. Now, here’s the

healthy response. I hear your concerns about

the efficiency of our services, and I appreciate

you bringing this up. The medical clinic

and therapy services both play essential

roles in patient care, so any discussions

about restructing should be approached carefully. Before making any decisions, I think it would be

beneficial to review data on patient outcomes and

service utilization. If there are areas where

we can be more efficient, I’m open to exploring those

possibilities together. How about we schedule

a time to analyze the numbers and

discuss potential solutions as a team?
