write a persuasive piece that brings 3 weekly themes together. Make an original argument that
ties them all together around the theme of time and space. time and space. We often take this
relationship for granted but did Professors lectures and the lectures/texts from our guest
speakers help you understanding this relationship better. Think of an original argument that says
something about the connection among memory, heritage, ancestry, trauma, history, indigeneity,
settler colonialism, sovereignty, futurity, decolonization/postcolonialism, (neo)fascism,
narratives/stories, empire etc. You don’t have to talk about all these things (citing only class
materials but no need for bibliography) but what interests you, tying them together in an
analytical way. You can have an argument (for example) like “I argue that decolonization is a
form of solidarity for the future,” something interesting that is based on the materials and what
you learned in class. Cite multiple sources that include lectures and the readings to show you
paid attention to it all. Write 1.5 to 2 pages single-spaced due on Canvas by Sunday MAY 4

AI reminder: Use AI at your own risk for assignments like essays. You take full responsibility and
ownership of any mistakes or false information given by AI. UC expects you to develop your
own work so you can leave this place will better skills and ways of expressing things, which is
not always helped by being solely dependent on technology. Our democracy is also in jeopardy
if citizens cannot express themselves well to others so try your best to improve your
communication skills and ability to decipher/detect what is an authentic source as opposed to a
fake one. This skill takes years to develop and college is the best time to do it!
