Signature Assignment Overview

Part I: For your signature assignment, you will create an informative presentation on the conflict you chose at the beginning of the session.

Refer to all Signature Prep assignments to build your presentation (5 to 8 slides).  Your presentation should include the following:

  1. Title page introducing your conflict (your name included as the creator).
  2. An “all about” page (this is where you will properly define the conflict you selected based on the research you’ve done on your chosen topic.  Be informative and creative that will keep and maintain the attention of a viewer)
  3. Give your company a name
    1. Create a logo
    2. Give a small description of the industry your company is part of, and what it does (i.e. insurance, car manufacturing, etc.)
  4. Mediation team
    1. Give your mediation team a name (if you want to name it “Mediation Team” that’s perfectly fine)
    2. Give a description of your mediation team
    3. Provide a list of who is on the team (give them pseudo names…we’re making it real)
  5. Refer back to the two situations you came up with in Signature Assignment Prep 2…You create a short conflict mediation scenario for both situations
    1. Your scenarios will be situations that occurred in the industry your created
      1. One scenario will have a resolution that includes a negotiation
      2. The other scenario will remain open and unresolved, but the environment is still workable (tell why it remained unresolved)
  6. For your last slide, create a company quote that focuses on resolving workplace conflicts that calls for a safe and workable workspace. (you are the CEO that creates the quote)

Part II: Create a flyer that gives quotes from 2 to 3 employees that promotes the company, and how the company thrives on producing a healthy work environment.  Brag on your company, create graphics.

  • Do a little research on how you would do this (suggestion: Google success flyer)

Guidelines

For Part I:

Your presentation should be in a PowerPoint format.  It should contain proper grammar, be free of spelling errors, and reflect critical thinking. No more than 5-8 slides.  Save as a PowerPoint.

For Part II:

This is a one page document that should be saved as a PDF.  If you are using Canva to create your flyer, be sure to download as a PDF.  DO NOT EMAIL YOUR DOCUMENT TELLING ME YOU WERE UNABLE TO UPLOAD IT.  I will not accept it, and you will lose points.  If you are unsure how to download as a PDF, either research these instructions or reconsider your method.
