Dissertation First Draft Manuscript Submission Assignment Instructions

Overview

The purpose of this task is to provide an opportunity for the student to submit the
Dissertation First Draft Manuscript
document for review by the Dissertation Supervisor and Second Reader.

Once your dissertation is fully assembled, contains all elements of the dissertation as required by the Handbook, meets APA style requirements, and is free of spelling and grammar errors, it may be submitted for committee review. This task is completed in two parts as follows.

Part 1: Submit your
Quiz: Dissertation First Draft Review Request and Affirmations. This is a five-question request form that requires a “Yes” response to each question. Each question is written in the form of an affirmation of understanding dealing with matters pertaining to the dissertation and defense process. Please read each question and be sure you understand and agree to this affirmation statement.

Part 2: Submit your
Dissertation First Draft Manuscript. You will submit the document in two locations, one location for your Supervisor’s review, the other for your Second Reader’s review. Do not submit your document via email. Submit your document online at the locations labeled

Dissertation First Draft Manuscript Submission: Reader Assignment. Keep in mind, this draft will be reviewed by your committee and is subject to changes required by your committee.

This draft will be reviewed by your committee and is subject to changes required by your committee. Submission should include all related materials, including front matter, chapters 1 – 5, and appendices. Particular attention will be given to the results of your findings as highlighted in Chapters 4 & 5.

Instructions

1. Complete all known changes to your dissertation prior to submission. That means, do not turn in partial work, uncorrected work, improperly formatted work, or work that is lacking any dissertation elements found in the
Program Handbook.

2. Only submit the document you want your committee to review. If you discover errors, note those for a future revision. These changes can be made prior to submitting your Defense-Ready copy in the CLED990 Dissertation Defense course.

3. Only submit your document copies through the designated submission locations.

4. Your document must be APA styled and be grammatically correct. Documents that have excessive grammar errors will be returned for correction prior to review.

5. Be sure to include all front matter and appendices in your document.

6. Your document must be named as follows substituting your last name and Liberty ID number. You should use underscores between words as shown below. You must submit a Word document only.
