Q1.1 – Calculate the change in standard Gibbs energy at equilibrium for the reaction A –>B in which [A] = 5 mM and [B] = 25 mM and the temperature for the reaction is 37ºC.
Use the change in standard Gibbs energy you determined for the reaction A –>B, but now calculate the actual change in Gibbs energy at 37ºC when the reaction is at steady state and [A] = 0.1M and [B] = 250 microM.
Is the reaction more favorable at equilibrium or at steady state? Explain.
