Assessment Description
The school counseling core curriculum consists of specific lessons intended to help students achieve the desired competencies and to provide all students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes appropriate for their developmental level.
Use your lesson plan from this week’s assignment to guide you in your, creation of an 8-10 slide digital presentation to identify strategies for presenting school counseling elements in the classroom as described in the ASCA Model. Plan accordingly when completing your lesson plan as it informs your presentation. This portion of the assignment transitions your lesson plan into action. Use age-appropriate graphics and language to develop your lesson/presentation for use with P-12 students. Ultimately, your lesson plan and presentation will serve as a resource for future delivery of a core curriculum lesson and convey the role of the school counselor.
Slide One: Include the following introduction (consider ASCA Lesson Plan template for this)

Slide Two: Outline the learning objectives

Slide Seven: Summarize
- Lesson Wrap-Up (Review the objectives, and revisit the learning outcomes in preparation for assessment)

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
