Recognize the overall knowledge management processes, concepts, goals and strategies within the context
of organization.
Describe how valuable individual, group and organizational knowledge is managed throughout the
knowledge management cycle.
Define the different Knowledge types and explain how they are addressed by knowledge management in
different business environments.

This Assignment is based on the content of Chapter 1, 2 and Chapter 3 and present-day
developments due to AI in the field of Knowledge management.
The Assignment questions are as follows:
➢ Discuss in detail the concept of “Data”, “Information”, “Knowledge” and
“Knowledge Management”. (2 Marks). 200-300 words.
➢ Write a detailed note on following statement and justify your argument with proper
examples and references. (2 Marks) 350 Words Minimum
“Knowledge is one of the most important assets and knowledge management is a
necessity in present day world”.
➢ Discuss the concept of “Tacit Knowledge” and “Explicit Knowledge” using suitable
examples. Highlight the various characteristics of tacit and explicit knowledge. (2
Marks). 200-300 words.
➢ Discuss Meyer and Zack knowledge management cycle, Mc Elroy Knowledge
management cycle and K Wiig’s Knowledge management cycles. (2 Marks) 400 –
600 words.
➢ Discuss in detail the Nonaka and Takeuchi knowledge management model. Give
examples related to each of the transformation processes. (2 Marks). 200-300
words.
