Assignment:
Student Spending
As public institutions that utilize tax paper dollars, it’s important that we always have a good
understanding of funds and outcomes.
In this formative assessment you will be analyzing the per pupil funding in your own district.
You will need to share how much is spent per student and the impact of those dollars on
achievement.
You’ll need to look at both your per pupil spending and achievement data for this assessment.
This data can often be found on your state education websites, with your leadership cabinets in
your school districts, or on your school district website.
Your analysis must include:
● Per Pupil Cost
● Achievement Data
● Answer the Question: Is it worth it? Is the cost justified with the academic
achievements?
You may want to compare the information to a neighboring district if it helps your argument, but
this is not required.
This should be completed in APA format.
