An organization can improve the resilience and profitability of its business model by implementing outsourcing and offshore efforts. However, there are drawbacks to these attempts.
Today’s economy is dynamic, highly unpredictable, and competitive, and many businesses are looking for answers. As supply chain management advances and the gap between what businesses would like to accomplish and what they can accomplish internally widens, businesses start to see that doing the right thing is more exciting than doing everything. As a result, they are outsourcing and offshore tasks that are distant from their core businesses, which helps them become more specialized and focused. Businesses frequently choose to contract out this function entirely or in part to agents or outside logistics companies.
