What are the activities and tasks given to you during this
month?
During this month, I was assigned various financial tasks
such as reviewing and analyzing internal financial reports
from different departments. I also assisted in preparing
financial templates and followed up on daily expenditures.
Additionally, I entered and updated data in the internal
financial system.
What skills did you learn through the month?
I gained new skills in using Microsoft Excel for financial
record-keeping and analysis. I also developed a better
understanding of auditing procedures and improved my
professional communication and teamwork skills.
How many meetings did you attend?
No meetings were held during this month.
What are the difficulties you had this month?
At the beginning of the training, I found it difficult to
understand some of the financial terminology and the
specialized software used by the department.

How did you overcome these difficulties?
I overcame these challenges by asking my supervisor and
colleagues for clarification. I also spent extra time learning
and practicing the system until I became confident using it.

What did you learn from completing the tasks
This experience taught me the importance of accuracy and
attention to detail in financial work. I also learned how
financial operations are organized within a government
organization, and how critical it is to maintain clear and
correct records.
What did you want to learn more?

What are the activities and tasks given to you during this
month?
During this month, I continued assisting the Financial
Department in its daily operations.
My main duties included checking payment vouchers,
ensuring the completeness of financial records, and preparing
weekly summaries for expenses.
I also helped update spreadsheets used for monitoring budget
allocations and reviewed financial documents before final
approval.
What skills did you learn through the month?
This month, I improved my ability to verify documents and
track expenses using Excel formulas.
I also became more familiar with the municipality’s financial
system and learned to organize files more efficiently.
Additionally, I enhanced my accuracy and attention to detail
when reviewing financial data.
How many meetings did you attend?
I attended one internal meeting where the team discussed
financial progress, reviewed recent expenses, and planned for
the upcoming monthly report.
What are the difficulties you had this month?
The main challenge this month was handling several
financial requests that needed to be reviewed and processed
at the same time, which required good time management and
focus.
How did you overcome these difficulties?
I overcame this by organizing my tasks based on deadlines
and using checklists to follow up on each document.
I also communicated with my supervisor to confirm
priorities, which helped me complete the work efficiently and
without errors.
What did you learn from completing the tasks
I learned the importance of proper documentation and
accuracy when dealing with financial data.
This experience strengthened my ability to manage workload
under pressure and improved my understanding of internal

What are the activities and tasks given to you during this
month?
During this month, I participated in several daily activities
within the Finance Department. My tasks included reviewing
financial reports related to expenditures and revenues and
ensuring that they matched the accounting records. I also
assisted in preparing summary sheets of ongoing financial
operations to be presented to management.
In addition, I helped in verifying payment requests before
approval, checking that all required documents and
signatures were completed. I collaborated with the team to
update vendor information and review daily journal entries
for accuracy in the financial system. Moreover, I contributed
to organizing and archiving old financial files electronically
to make access easier and more efficient.
What skills did you learn through the month?
This month, I learned how to prepare short financial
summaries that reflect the department’s performance on a
weekly basis. I also improved my ability to use spreadsheets
to organize and analyze financial data effectively.
Furthermore, I gained practical experience in basic financial
auditing and learned how to match invoices with approved
requests. I also became more confident in using government
financial systems and identifying minor accounting errors for
correction under supervision.
How many meetings did you attend?
I attended one internal meeting with the Finance Department
to review the workflow and update the financial review
procedures. During the meeting, we discussed how to
improve transaction processing speed and set work priorities
for the upcoming period.
What are the difficulties you had this month?
At the beginning of the month, I faced some difficulty
understanding how to prepare complex financial reports,
especially those related to expense distribution across
departments. I also struggled with using some advanced
Excel functions while analyzing large financial datasets.
How did you overcome these difficulties?

I overcame these challenges by seeking guidance from my
supervisor, who explained the steps of report preparation in
detail. I also practiced more using previous financial files to
enhance my Excel skills and learned useful shortcuts and
methods from my colleagues.
Over time, I became faster and more accurate in completing
my assigned tasks, which helped me gain more confidence
and efficiency in my work.

What did you learn from completing the tasks
This month taught me the importance of accuracy and
attention to detail in financial work, as even small errors can
affect the overall report quality. I also learned how teamwork
contributes significantly to completing financial tasks
efficiently in a government environment that values precision
and coordination.
Additionally, I gained a clearer understanding of how
periodic financial reports are prepared and used to evaluate
municipal financial performance and guide decision-making.
What did you want to learn more?
I would like to learn more about how annual budgets are
prepared in the municipal sector and how actual financial
performance is compared with planned budgets. I am also
interested in understanding the final review and approval
process of financial reports before submission to higher
authorities.

The purpose of the Internship Report is offer students to describe their accomplishments and
demonstrate what they learned through participation at Saudi Electronic University. The report
should be submitted within two weeks after you finish your Co-op training Program. In
addition, the report should be approximately 3000 – 4000, single –spaced and consider taking
the following format
1. First Page
First page should display student’s full name, internship start and finish dates, working hours
per week, company/institution name.
This page should be signed by the work and university supervisor off the intern student.

2. A Brief Executive Summary of the Internship
A one-page summary of the company/institution and a short account of the major activities
carried out during the internship period.

3. Table of Contents
Contents of the report with page numbers, list of tables, and list of figures.
4. Description of the company
This section should answer the following questions:
• What is the full title of the company/institution? Give a brief history of the company, full
mailing address and relevant web links
• What is the type of ownership of the company/institution? State the main shareholders and
their shares.
• What is the sector that the company/institution operates in? Specify the products and services
produced and offered to its customers/clients.
• Who are regarded as the customers/clients of your internship company (consider the end users,
retailers, other manufacturers, employees, etc.)?
• Provide an organization chart of the company, along with information on the number of
employees.
• Provide a list of functions performed by different departments/divisions in the internship
organization.

5. Internship activities
This is the main body of your report. During the internship period, an intern may focus on the
following types of analysis and questions. You do not have to answer all the questions in the
list:
• Describe your working conditions and functions, such as: Who is your supervisor (include
his/her name and his/her position); other team members or co-workers and what their functions
are to complement yours.
• Provide an organization chart of the internship organization.
• Provide the department or division layout of the internship organization.
• Provide an overview off the production system or service procedure (what are the
resources, inputs, outcomes, and constraints?)
• Provide a process chart of a major product and/or service.
• What kind of accounting/finance/IT//quality/marketing standards and principles are used in
the organization?
• Discuss telecommunication technologies (Database, Instant Messenger,

Networking, Ecommerce tools) used in the company.
• Describe the quality planning and control activities in the internship organization.
• Describe the quality control activities throughout the life cycle of the product/service groups.
• What kind of financial analysis and decision-making methods are used by corporate treasurers
and financial managers in the internship organization?
• What kinds of incentives are used in order to create more effective and efficient organization?
• What types of marketing, selling, and human resources analysis are performed (cost
system, evaluation of consumers, needs, product strategy, distribution strategy, promotional
strategy)?
• Describe what kind of working documents and analysis you did there and what experiences
you have gained throughout your training.
•A comparison between theory (things you have learned in the classroom) and practice (things
you did or observed at the company) must be made and highlighted.
• Show some work samples that you have encountered/conducted at the company through
graphs, pictures, data, drawings, or design calculations and include them in your report.
