Kemp’s ridley turtle
Submit a draft of the species overview section of the final project, including all the critical elements listed below. You will utilize the sources analyzed in your Milestone One literature review and provide an overview of the species selected. Remember to use
these fact sheets as a helpful format guide to ensure that you address important basic facts about your species. Specifically, visit the “Basic Facts” pages.
Specifically, the following
critical elements must be addressed:
I.
Species Overview:
A. Summarize the
basic ecological and behavioral characteristics of the identified species. Provide facts and background knowledge that has been presented in the literature.
B. Explain how these characteristics interact with
environmental factors to influence the likelihood of the species’ long-term persistence.
C. Identify the species selected and provide an
overview of the species’ ecology, emphasizing aspects that are particularly relevant to its conservation. For example, an animal’s ability to disperse across a human-dominated landscape may be central to the development of conservation plans and should therefore be thoroughly described in your paper. By contrast, details about taxonomic revisions may have less practical implications and might be briefly mentioned or ignored entirely.
What to Submit
Your paper must be submitted as a one to two page Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Use at least three sources, which should be cited according to APA style.
