The KPI Dashboard
Week 4: The KPI Dashboard
The KPI Dashboard
Your manager is concerned about the poor outcomes from recent earlier attempts at such digital transformation. That is the on again, off again approaches that were unsuccessful. From your analysis. Prior attempts were unsuccessful because they lacked effect of key performance indicators or KPIs to track progress and risks. You must now identify KPIs that your supervisor can evaluate periodically. Your KPIs will also help your supervisor make decisions that can change the trajectory of the transformation either positively or negatively. Therefore, you must ensure your KPIs are attainable and measurable. Furthermore, your supervisor really likes dashboards as they allow for a quick and holistic view of an operation or process. You want your supervisor to have vital information at his or her fingertips. So you have decided to create a dashboard. Finally, every major change is subject to risks. Identifying those risks early and developing mitigation strategies can be the difference of a successful or unsuccessful change. Knowing that past initiatives were unsuccessful in part, by not properly identifying and mitigating risks, you are poised to not let that disrupt or delay this initiative.
Instructions
After reviewing the Week 4 Reading and Supplemental Materials, create a 2-page Microsoft Word Memo and infographic (instead of a traditional dashboard) for an organization you have been or still are affiliated with. You do not have real data, so you will create static graphics to represent your data for your infographic/dashboard. Use the following outline.
1. Importance of KPIs
· Explain what Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are important and how they can be used to track the progress and risks related to the digital transformation effort (i.e., using AI to improve services).
2. Infographic: Create your graphics using an AI (such as Perplexity AI, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude AI). Practice with different prompts to get a picture you like.
· Identify three (3) KPIs related to the digital transformation effort.
· Provide a brief description of what each KPI will measure and its importance.
· Insert your infographic into the analysis report.
3. Risks and Mitigation Strategies
· Propose three (3) potential leadership risks leaders may face as they work through the digital transformation effort and provide a mitigation strategy for each risk. *Each mitigation strategy must include credible support (i.e., APA citations).
4. Follow APA formatting guidelines:
