Overview
In today’s modern workplace, employees have a wide range of digital tools at their fingertips to meet virtually with colleagues and/or customers.
This assignment allows you to practice your communication, digital proficiency, and productivity skills. Imagine that you are preparing for a Zoom meeting with a colleague to discuss important details. You will share a PowerPoint slide deck with them to organize ideas and strategy.
Instructions
- In Week 2, you sent Wanda a voicemail, referencing Sara; in Week 4, you emailed Sara Robins of Printables. Now you will prepare a PowerPoint slide deck to share with your Shipping Department manager, John Smith, in a Zoom meeting to discuss important next steps. This should be a PowerPoint presentation with at least five slides. You do not need to record audio for this assignment.
- Use professional language and tone appropriate for internal communication with co-workers to develop a slide deck presentation outlining what needs to be done:
- Identify what task still needs to be completed.
- Identify which to-do items need to be done by the Shipping Department. The table below contains the items that need to be completed by the Shipping Department.
- Clarify when the replacement order is scheduled to arrive.
- Identify which person is responsible for refunding the shipping fees to Printables. You need to mention someone by name here (either invent a specific employee or assign the task to the shipping manager, in particular).
- Use professional language and tone appropriate for internal communication with co-workers.
- Evaluate your PowerPoint presentation and review the Six Ws Worksheet for Assignment 3 [DOCX]. How do you think your Shipping Manager is feeling, and how will the information in your slide deck improve collaboration between yourself and him? Note: You are not required to submit the Six W’s Worksheet with this recorded assignment. If needed, edit your slide deck.
- Submit your PowerPoint file.
Requirements
- Format: Create a PowerPoint presentation consisting of at least five slides.
