DISCUSSION: INTERNAL ENVIRONMENT, POWER/WEAKNESS, AND DECISION MODELS
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
This discussion will focus on a series of questions in the areas of Process (steps to be taken),
Strategic Thinking (current theory), Decision Models (decision making methodology), and Biblical
Integration. The student should organize their main thread by using the bolded headings provided
and then respond to the question.
Evaluating the internal environment that the company does business in is critical to the process of
developing a company’s business strategy. When evaluating the internal environment, it is
important to understand key sources of power or weakness that exist. Decision models continue to
impact strategy development and should continuously be evaluated, and others considered. Biblical
integration ensures that the resulting strategy is grounded in God’s will.
• Minimum of 700 words in the body.

• Decision Model – no less than 150 words
• How do my decision models aid/hinder the process of evaluating the internal environment
and why? Discuss how and why your decision model(s) aid/hinder the process of evaluating
environment.
• What other decision models are being considered and why? Discuss what models you are
considering using as a better choice and why.
• Make this section personal.
• Biblical Integration – In what way does God’s Word inform this discussion? Tie this
discussion to the Bible in a meaningful way to include relevant Bible verse(s) in no less
than 150 words.
• Conclusion
Support all your factual assertions with citations.
