Assignment Expectations
Week 1: Country Selection
Students are required to select a country to research for the final paper. The selected country must be claimed in the ‘Country Selection’ discussion topic located in the open forum. Students must review classmates’ selections to ensure their chosen country has not already been selected.
The United States may not be selected, as the final paper will require a comparison between the chosen country and the United States.
Country selection is due by 11:59 pm CT Sunday in the appropriate discussion forum.
Week 7: Research Paper
Part I: Country Characteristics
Students will research their selected country using credible sources such as journal articles, government databases, online newspapers and magazines, company filings, and press releases. All required questions listed in the course Content area must be addressed.
Each response must be written in complete sentences and provide sufficient context. Single-word answers are not acceptable. A citation in the most current edition of APA format must follow each response, including the direct URL when applicable. Students must use the most current data available and clearly indicate the date of the information provided.
Part II: Country Evaluation
Students must answer five research questions provided in the course Content area. Each question requires a minimum of two paragraphs. Each paragraph must contain at least 115 words, totaling a minimum of 230 words per question.
Part II must be written in narrative form using appropriate headings. The section should demonstrate in-depth critical analysis of the selected country’s economic, political, and business environment.
The paper must include proper thesis statements, well-structured paragraphs and sentences, and correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and subject-verb agreement. At least two outside sources must be cited. APA in-text citations and a reference list in the most current edition of APA format are required.
Formatting Requirements
The final document must be submitted in Microsoft Word format. It must be double-spaced, with consistent 1-inch margins on all sides. The font and formatting must comply with the most current APA guidelines. The completed paper is worth 240 points and is due by 11:59 pm CT Sunday in the appropriate Dropbox.
