Non-traditional Drawing
This week you learned how artists use various materials to create drawings and how they employed paper as a medium. For this assignment you will be asked to create a drawing using non-traditional materials. Think outside the box. You can use different materials you can find in your home. For example, makeup, condiments, paper towels, bottle caps, food, etc. Once you make your creation, you will take a picture of it and submit your image. Below are step by step instructions and some examples:
Instructions:
1. Think of a subject you would like to draw. A landscape, portrait, shapes, abstract, etc. It can be anything!
2. Find some non-traditional drawing materials. Examples: nail polish, condiments, bottle caps, food, makeup, play dough, bath tissue, etc.
3. Create your drawing with your non-traditional materials. Think about the formal elements of design you learned about in chapters 4 and 5.
4. Take a photo of your artwork.
