For this assignment, you will review a case study scenario and the corresponding context related to your role as a behavior analyst in practice. You will prepare a presentation that discusses necessary considerations when designing behavior analytic intervention recommendations at the initial onset of your services. You will complete an outline of the proposed steps you will take along with a presentation video to substantiate the rationale for your recommendations.

Review the case study: In Case Studies in Applied Behavior Analysis for Students and Adults with Disabilities – Case Study Seventeen: Batu, p. 305-306.

You are a BCBA employed through your local school district, supporting students and staff across multiple school sites. As part of the tiered response to intervention model, you are sought out by the director of special education to begin supporting a middle school student named Batu. Specifically, you are informed that Batu has not responded to a variety of individualized interventions that have been attempted in the general education classroom, through his established support systems in his IEP.

Part 1 – Outline of Treatment Process:

Using the template provided, complete a case conceptualization framework by outlining which behavior-analytic concepts and principles you will utilize when providing behavior analytic services to Batu. Add content to each designated section within the template as indicated. This framework is intended to provide an overview for intervention consideration, demonstrating your ability to synthesize concepts and principles into the treatment design process.
