Purpose of the Assignment: To collect materials from the discourse community we are analyzing and to share those materials. To get feedback from each other about the community’s materials.
Intended Audience: Instructor. Classmates.
Assignment Description: Post materials from your discourse community in here so we can see them. Start to identify key points you learned from examining your materials. Then come back to this forum tomorrow and look over your classmates’ materials in class and provide each other with feedback. Use the questions below to help give each other feedback.
Primary and Secondary Source Materials from a Discourse Community
- Academic and trade publications (journals, newsletters, etc.).
- Company web sites (Internet and Intranet). Screen shots are fine.
- Professional society web sites (e.g., Federal or State Bar Association, the National Association of State Foresters).
