In your personal and professional life, you might use logic regularly. Did you know that mathematics has a specific area about logic? It even comes with its own rules, symbols, and limitations!

This week focuses on basic logic and how you can use logical reasoning outside the classroom. With the number and magnitude of our many daily interactions in the world, there may also be an increase of logical errors. Through every step in a process (e.g., decision-making, research, production, and artistry), there is a possibility for error to be introduced.

Discuss the following with your classmates:

  • Consider a recent discussion you have had with an individual or a news item in the media that might have included logical errors. Share the example and explore where there may have been logical errors present in the example. Be sure to be positive and kind in the discussion and use terms and concepts from the content covered this week to support your discussion.
