The First Meeting of the Budget & Student Enrollment Manager
You are approximately three days away from your first meeting with the management team of your new company. As the budget manager, you know you play an important role in helping the entire team serve the organization and ensure institutional success. You are excited about this upcoming meeting in that the CEO has given you an opportunity to address the team. For this assignment, you will be providing an overview of what you intend to share with your fellow managers on the team. You are planning a three-part address in the fifteen-minute time allocation you have been provided by your CEO. In the fifteen-minutes you are being provided, you came to address three important issues. For this paper, you are to articulate specifically what you would introduce in this three-part presentation. For each of these sections provide an overview of your major points and articulate the sources to support the thoughts that you have expressed in relationship to these major points. You are not necessarily expected to write a verbatim transcript of your statements. Instead, this overview is designed to help prepare you for the series of statements you will make in executing this important task.
Your work should come in the form of a formal APA paper and come in the following components.

Component 1: Introduction- Offer a brief introduction wherein you introduce yourself and the points you will be establishing for your fifteen-minute talk.

Component 2: The role of the budget & student enrollment manager- In this section, you will describe your vision of the role of the budget manager in an organization. Keep in mind that you were hired because the CEO agreed with your vision, so your articulation of what a budget manager does with an institution is helpful here.

Component 3: The role of revenues & expenses- In this section, you will describe a brief discussion of the importance of revenues in the budget management process. You will define revenues and articulate specifically how you will utilize this vision to better articulate how they will be managed moving forward. Similar to our discussion of revenues, you will also describe the role of expenses in the budget management process and how you plan to manage this all-important aspect of the business in a way that ensures continuous improvement and high levels of innovation and productivity.

Component 4: The role of successful enrollment planning – In this section, you will describe the strategic steps organizations can take to understand student college choice patterns and the management required to oversee/facilitate the process.
Please ensure in executing this assignment that you make specific references to the readings provided as well as the utilization of at least three outside references which can be used to support your ideas presented. The use of outside sources is important because even though the materials provided for this course are excellent, as a graduate student you are expected to be able to consult a variety of sources regarding a given topic and synthesize that scholarly input into a thoughtful set of recommendations, conclusions, etc.
The essay should be 1750- words and should include at least three (3) citations. The sections should be clearly marked with headings so that your instructor knows which points you are addressing. Follow the guidelines for APA writing style. The title page and references page do not count toward the minimum word amount for this assignment.
