Assignment 1:
After completing the film How to Survive a Plague (AMC+, Plex, Kanopy or for rent) answer the following prompts:
(A) Why didn’t the United States work more quickly when it came to stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS, provide at least 2 reasons and fully explain. (50-100 words)
(B) How did groups go about eventually getting treatment for HIV/AIDS? Identify and explain at least 3 important steps in the process. (100-150 words)
(C) What do you think is the main point of this film? (25-50 words)
(D) Write a review of the film stating the purpose of the film and whether you like it or not and why. (100-150 words)
Assignment 2:
In 250 words respond to the following prompt:
A) After doing research online identify and explain how the Covid shutdown has impacted at least 3 institutions, organizations, or aspects of modern American life.
B) Examples include the education system, travel, food production, etc. In answering the question, explain specifically how it impacted each institution by including at least TWO examples for each of your THREE areas of life.
Assignment 3:
In 250-400 words respond to the following prompt: Do a little research online and look into how another country in the world provides health care to its citizens and compare it to the United States in 2 ways providing details for both the US and the country that you have chosen. In the end explain which system you think seems better.
Assignment 4: MY TOPIC IS ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
Generate a list of possible online resources for people interested in the topic. The list should include:
· 8 articles (the 5 you use for your paper can be included- SEE Below)
· 5 youtube videos (provide a sentence of explanation for including each one)
· 5 key people or services that should be followed on social media platforms.
