Week 8 Capstone Final

WEEK 8 CAPSTONE FINAL

As a reminder, the assignment for this week will be a response to the following question: “How do we realize justice in a multicultural society?” Select a topic from the list of themes presented in Week 4.  Our group has shared some wonderful feedback on the outlines thus far, so be sure to consider their input as you write your final essay.

This paper should be a minimum of 8 pages in length (APA format), not including title and reference pages.  Submit your essay assignment in the Assignment Drop Box on Sunday, May 5th.

(THIS IS FOR A DISCUSSION POST)

In the past our course would include a presentation to your peers in the classroom of your final Capstone. Since we are online for this version, I felt it best to have you share your wisdom through a PowerPoint that you will post next week rather than trying to Zoom everybody in at a specific time. I realize you may not be completely finished with your essay at mid-week in Week 8, but if you could post some of the highlights from your outline as well as other insights you have discovered in the writing of your essay, it gives everyone a chance to benefit from your wisdom on this topic. You may use a different presentation tool other than PowerPoint, just make sure it opens in Worldclass so students can view it without the necessity of downloading a new program. This will actually be the only Discussion Forum assignment and interaction for Week 8.  Once again, here is the outline below:

Slide 1 – title page

Slide 2 – your rationale and decision to select this topic

Slides 3-5 overview of your final paper

Slide 6 – a lessons learned or conclusions page

Slide 7 – references or bibliography

** 8 page paper based off of the outline from week 7

** also a powerpoint presentation to post in the discussion about the paper for week 8

(you chose the twenty first century: how did we get here?)

Here is a list that appeared in the Week 4 announcement. You can also add other items to this if you want to explore, just send me an email. Obviously, we have some emerging topics such as abortion, AI, LGBTQ+ rights, wars in the Ukraine and Gaza, and the pandemic. Post your selection in the Week 5 discussion forum. Remember, we’re writing on the overall lens of “How do we realize Justice in a Multicultural Society.” Tom
