In recent years there has been an effort to control costs, increase access, and improve the delivery of health care for better health outcomes for all populations. These efforts have resulted in an emphasis being placed on the measurement of quality. In collaboration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the National Quality Forum (NQF), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and other organizations instituted requirements for public reporting of quality indicators. Imagine you are tasked with developing a communication tool to inform guests and patients in hospital settings about the quality indicators which are measured and publicly reported and where more information can be found.
