Article Critique and Presentation – Scientific Poster Presentation

You are to do
two scientific research posters, providing an overview of the most relevant information extracted from a research paper or article. In essence, it is a high-level summary description of a study or project designed to
inform the audience about a research study
. Posters are usually a combination of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures and other formats of information presentation. In a face-face poster presentation, the researcher can stand by the poster display while other participants can come and view the presentation and interact with the author. Posters can be presented without the presence of the author in both electronic and hard copy formats.

The purpose of this exercise is to:
1. provide the opportunity to extract relevant information from a research article and
2. introduce the art of research presentation using a posterboard.

EXERCISE
Search for a two recent (2015 or later) scientific research articles in
Environmental Health. The article must consist of the usual sections of a typical scientific research article –
abstract, introduction, method, results, discussion and conclusion. You must attach or provide a link to your chosen article; submission without an article will be rejected.

Use the template provided or any other template or format (WORD, ADOBE, etc.) to develop a poster presentation of your chosen scientific research article. Irrespective of your template or format, it must address the components in the template provided. Include other components or subheadings you may find in your chosen article. Make sure your poster is “eye-catching”.

Copy and Paste (plagiarism) submission will be rejected. Use your own words.
