Critical Thinking
Many businesses are looking for answers in the fiercely competitive, wildly unpredictable, and
dynamic climate of today. As supply chain management grows more complex and the gap between
what businesses want to do and what they can do internally widens, businesses start to understand
that doing the right thing is more exciting than doing everything. As a result, by outsourcing and
offshoring tasks that are unrelated to their main business, companies become sharper and more
specialized. Businesses frequently choose to contract out this function in full or in part to agents or
outside logistics companies.
