Final Research Paper

In the Module 6 Assignment, you chose one of the works you read during this course and a literary topic. Then, you researched the work and the topic and created your preliminary works cited list. Now it is time to organize and write your paper.

Steps to writing your paper:

  • Write a thesis/take a stance that establishes the connection between the chosen work and the chosen topic.
  • Complete a Formal Outline of your paper.
  • Write your research paper and prove your thesis in a minimum of five pages
  • Complete a Cover Page and a Works Cited page
  • Ensure your paper follows an essay format by having a thesis, topic sentences, paragraphs, sufficient supporting ideas, an Introduction, a Body, and a Conclusion
  • Throughout your paper (and not just in the Introduction and Conclusion), include in your analysis both evidence from the stories chosen, as well as from academically credible research sources. You must have a minimum of 6 sources for this paper.
  • Complete your research using at least one library book and at least four library database sources (only one Internet source will be accepted)
  • Your research must consist of material that enables you to prove a point raised about the work in regards to the topic.

Submission Instructions:

  • The paper is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, and misspellings.
  • The paper should be formatted per the current MLA and 5-6 pages in length, excluding the cover page and the works cited page. Incorporate a minimum of 6 current (published within the last five years) academic sources within your work.
