Ventures
TechNova Solutions, a reputable technology firm in Germany, owns the
trademark TechNova and registered the domain technova-tech.com in early 2023. In
April 2024, they discovered that GlobalWeb Ventures registered technovatech.biz to offer generic technology services. TechNova suspects that GlobalWeb
Ventures is exploiting their brand to confuse customers and profit from their
established reputation.
Believing this constitutes cybersquatting, TechNova files a complaint under
the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), claiming:
Identical or Confusingly Similar: technova-tech.biz is confusingly similar .1
to TechNova, potentially misleading customers.
No Rights or Legitimate Interests: GlobalWeb Ventures has no legitimate .2
interest in the domain and registered it to exploit TechNova’s trademark.
Bad Faith Registration and Use: The domain was registered and is being used .3
in bad faith to capitalize on TechNova’s brand.
GlobalWeb Ventures responds by asserting they have legitimate business interests
and are using the domain for genuine technology services, not to infringe on
TechNova’s trademark.
