Reading Reflection Questions
Review the Course Schedule for the assigned reading options listed in LU5. You will need to choose at
least one article from this reading options list. After you read the article, you will want to determine
how to incorporate at least one quote into the Ad Analysis Essay.
This assignment is designed to help you engage with the article you choose and assist you with
determining how to incorporate at least one quote from the article into the Ad Analysis Essay. Please
read the directions below and submit your finished assignment to MyHills.
Reading Response Instructions:
1. Choose at least one article from the LU5 reading options list. (See the Course Schedule.) All of
the readings relate to advertising; scan each text to determine which reading option might best
connect to your Ad Analysis Essay. (Note: Before completing this assignment, you will want to
choose the ad you are going to analyze. You might also want to brainstorm and do some pre-
writing so that you have an idea of the direction you will take in the Ad Analysis Essay.)
2. Briefly summarize the article, especially the part(s) of the article you anticipate using in the Ad
Analysis Essay.
3. Briefly explain how the article connects to your essay. How do you anticipate using this article in
the Ad Analysis Essay? What ideas from the article connect to ideas you plan to discuss in the Ad
Analysis Essay?

Write at least 8-12 substantial sentences (at least one well-developed paragraph) in response to
the instructions above.
Either type your response in a Word document (.doc or .docx) and upload it, or copy and paste
your response in the space below.
If you use a word processor other than Microsoft Word 2007 or newer, please save your work as
an .rtf (rich text file) and upload it.
If I cannot access your work due to it being saved as the wrong kind of file, I will not give you
