What are the activities and tasks given to you during this
    month?
Regarding my duties at S3 Arabia this month, I have been
responsible for overseeing the operations of the databases
and initiating the right analytical approaches to accommodate
the business of the tables and data contained therein. As a
user of the application, I have been participating actively in
backup performances, data restoration, and transfer of data.
In addition, I have also been engaged in diagnosing database
problems, as well as servicing the database and creating
efficient new reports and data analysis with the help of SQL
    Microsoft.
What skills did you learn through the month?
While working at S3 Arabia for a month, I acquired technical
proficiencies mainly in database management which include
supervising its operations, putting into practice analytics
strategies, and backup and data transfer. I built up my
problem-solving skills in fixing problems related to databases
and developed my skills in managing networks. Furthermore,
I have proactive skills to work with Microsoft SQL for the
creation and fine-tuning of reports and data analysis; this
training helped me enhance my technical competence in the
    field of database management.
How many meetings did you attend?
    Six Meetings
What are the difficulties you had this month?
This month, I had difficulties in the diagnosis of complicated
problems in databases, especially in performance tuning and
connection problems. Moreover, synchronization of data
restoration tasks and at the same time trying not to spend too
much time on it was a challenge due to the availability of
many resources. Finally, learning new procedures for
maintaining the network was essential to learn the dynamics
    of supporting operations of infrastructures.
How did you overcome these difficulties?
College of Administration and Finance Sciences
Concerning databases, I initiated studies, sought advice from
my friends and co-workers, and worked with such diagnostic
programs to identify the main problems with database load
and ways to resolve them. To address data restoration issues,
I adopted formal planning and implementation practices
related to the restoration problem, meaning I informed the
stakeholders most affected and came up with ways of
reducing possible disturbances and offering continuous
services. To address the objective related to stimuli on the
micro-level, I participated in exercises, received instructions
from more experienced team members, and introduced actual
changes to the specific networks that ensured I attained
proficiency and self-assurance in performing the tasks at
    hand.
    Learning
What did you learn from completing the tasks
About the tasks, nature developed the essence of prevention
in database management and enhanced the efficiency of
structures in the identification of problems. I also realized the
significance of careful planning and communication of the
processes that enable efficient data restoration and
maintenance. Moreover, learning new skills for report
development in Microsoft SQL highlighted the importance of
keeping up-to-date with the existing information and
acquiring updates in one’s technical competence.
What did you want to learn more?
I would like to explore more on SQL advanced query
optimization that would make the database even more
efficient. Also, I wanted to expand my understanding of
network infrastructure and its management focusing on the
configuration and security of complicated networks. Finally,
I wanted to expand my knowledge of using various levels of
data analytics methodology and tools to acquire better
techniques for creating conclusions from big data.
