ACC 315 Module Three Assignment Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
This assignment allows you to see the relationships between diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and the accounting workplace. This activity gives you a chance to make real-world connections among business processes and DEI.
Scenario
Your organization is beginning an initiative to be more inclusive both internally and externally. The accounting department has been asked to provide employee data to the employee DEI team and customer data to the financial inclusion team.
Directions
You have been provided with articles to review. Consider what types of information would be found in these articles that would be useful as a starting point. Identify current data in the employee database (payroll data) or in the customer database (sales/accounts receivable data) that would be useful as a starting point. Base this on your thoughts about what type of data you would expect to see in those databases. Discuss how the data would help the project. Take into consideration what other companies have done.
Here is what needs to happen:
Read the articles in the Supporting Materials section with a focus on DEI.
Identify data that can be used as a starting point for the DEI project.
Discuss what the data is, what it means, and how it is DEI relevant.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
Identify data that may have DEI relevance.
Discuss the merits of the data and what it might mean for the DEI initiative.

To complete this project, you must submit the following:
DEI Case Study Analysis
Submit a 1- to 2-page Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style. The title page and reference page are not included in the body of the report.
