After reading the portion of Scripture that focused on the authority of Christ, identify who gave Jesus this authority? What authority did Jesus have? What does this say about Him? What does it say about His (Jesus) authority over your life? Write a 1-2 page double-spaced paper that answers these questions. Your paper should be a minimum of 500 words. You have the liberty to write as much as you would like. Just make sure that you are sufficiently answering your questions. Also, your paper must include an introduction, body, closing prayer/conclusion, and discussion/application questions that are challenging. I would recommend at least three “challenging” questions. You must “cite your sources in your paper.”

Authority of Jesus

Authority of Jesus – To Teach

     Mark 1:21-22

Authority of Jesus – To Forgive Sins

     Mark  2:1-12

Authority of Jesus – Over Creation

     Mark 4:35-41

Authority of Jesus – Over Demons

Mark 5:1-20

Authority of Jesus – To Heal the Sick

Mark 5:21-43
