Overview
You are the clinical supervisor for a group of social workers at a child welfare agency. You
want to create a presentation to address the problem of child neglect prevalent in your
location.

Instructions
Develop a presentation for your supervisees on the ethical considerations of using your
chosen intervention, the impact of diversity attributes on its use, which theories support
its use, current practice models, and emerging alternatives to your intervention. Use

Use these guidelines to structure your presentation:
● Create a cover slide.
● Explain emerging practice models for addressing child neglect in families (from
provided list).
● Justify the use of a personally unfamiliar therapy as current best practice for
child neglect in families.
● Articulate the theory base for your chosen therapy.
● Assess the diversity attributes of the families served by a child welfare agency.
● Assess the ethical considerations of applying this therapy to families served by
a child welfare agency.
● Justify the use of a systems perspective in the decision-making process for the
best practice to meet client needs.
● Identify at least two emerging alternatives to your selected intervention.
● Include a reference list for the last slide.

Additional Requirements
● Submitting assignment: If you use PowerPoint, upload the presentation into
the courseroom. If you use another format, you must be able to link from your
presentation to upload in course assignments and it must be accessible to all.
● Length: Your presentation should contain 15 slides, plus cover and reference
slides.
● Font and font size: 12 point, Times New Roman.
● Written communication: Create content that is clear and logical, with correct
