Scenario
You applied to move up the clinical ladder at your healthcare organization to establish your expertise in a level of practice. You recently enrolled in a BSN program, as this is the first requirement of the clinical ladder. Another requirement of the clinical ladder program is to develop a timeline for lifelong professional learning.
Instructions
Evaluate your commitment to continued growth with clinical reasoning and clinical judgment and in a Word document, create a five-year plan for sustained professional growth. Include the following information in the plan:
· One-year post-BSN graduation
· Describe strategies you plan to use to maintain clinical reasoning and clinical judgment for the first-year post-graduation
· Evaluate the impact of the BSN on your practice, including examples, rationales, and evidence from credible sources.
· Two years post-BSN graduation
· Describe strategies you plan to use to expand clinical reasoning and clinical judgment within the setting you work, including examples and rationales to support the plan
· Three to five years post-BSN graduation
· Describe the types of formal and informal education you plan to use to maintain competency and develop as a lifelong learner, including examples and rationales to support the plan
