The goal of this activity is to reinforce the facts around some of the more common disorders seen in the criminal justice system by forensic psychologists. Each disorder has a flashcard with a brief definition from the American Psychiatric Association and a link to a fact sheet and diagnostic criteria from the
American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)
. Understanding these disorders will help you better understand the role of the forensic psychologist when they encounter an individual with one of these disorders.
