Unit VI Project
Assignment Instruction
This poster assignment measures your mastery of ULO 4.3.
Description: You will create a poster that synthesizes information, visually represents key concepts, and demonstrates your understanding of the material about professional development that was covered during the live lecture in this unit.
Requirements:
1. Choose a topic or theme from about professional development in the unit that resonated with you. It could be a theory, process, or concept that was discussed during the lecture or covered in the unit materials.
2. Summarize the important points that relate to the featured topic. You should include relevant definitions, examples, and visual aids (diagrams, charts, graphs) that will enhance understanding.
3. Design the poster to be well-organized and visually appealing. Use fonts, colors, and images that capture the viewer’s attention while conveying the information effectively.
4. Include a clear and concise title that reflects the main idea of the poster.
5. If applicable, provide citations for any sources or references that are used in the poster.
6. Use creativity and originality in your design. You can include interactive elements such as QR codes that link to additional resources or multimedia that relates to the topic.
Your poster must be at least one page in length. All submissions should represent original work. If you need to use external references or sources, make sure they are appropriately cited using APA Style. External resources, however, are not required
Unit VII Scholarly Activity
Assignment Instructions
For this assignment, you will create a 4-page classroom engagement plan based on what you have learned in the last several units. This assignment measures your mastery of ULOs 1.3, 2.3, 3.2, 3.3, and 4.4.
Within the last several units, you have examined various ways to increase student engagement. For this assignment, you will create a classroom plan for designing an effective and engaging learning environment based on your current position (or one that you hope to hold in the future). Your plan must address the following:
· Discuss the significance of creating engaging learning environments.
· Summarize the importance of embracing universal design for learning (UDL) when creating curriculum and instructional strategies.
· Create a visual representation of your learning environment. (The visual should include placement of students, educator, learning resources, etc.). You can create this visual in Word, PowerPoint, or any other software you choose.
· Explain how the sources of data will be used to guide your decision-making efforts.
· Describe strategies that will be embraced to keep students actively engaged and the importance of each one.
· Discuss ways that you will integrate community leaders within the learning environment.
Your paper should be a minimum of four pages in length; the title page and the page for references do not count toward this requirement. Use research to support your ideas. You must include a minimum of three sources, at least two sources should come from the CSU Online Library. All sources used must have in-text citations and references properly formatted in APA Style. APA Style formatting for your paper is also required.
Unit VIII Reflection Paper
Assignment Instructions
This two-page written reflection measures your mastery of ULOs 1.1, 2.1, 3.1, 3.3, and 4.2.
For this assignment, you will reflect on what you have learned and compose a paper addressing the following:
· Summarize the importance of embracing cultural responsiveness when creating curriculum and instructional strategies.
· Analyze key concepts related to making data-informed decisions.
· Summarize the importance of keeping students actively involved in the learning process. Describe two activities that you would implement in your classroom or school to keep students engaged.
· Identify differences between professionals and leaders within the field of education.
· Describe new strategies that you will implement to embrace continuous improvement efforts in each area listed above.
Research sources to support your ideas. Your paper should be a minimum of two pages in length. The title page and page for references do not count toward this requirement. You must include a minimum of two sources, at least one source should come from the CSU Online Library.
All sources used must have in-text citations and references properly formatted in APA Style. APA Style formatting for your paper is also required.
