In order to effectively pilot and then spread such a program, it takes robust projectmanagement. Following is a list of tasks that need to be completed as part of this initiative. Form a multidisciplinary team Develop a poster presentation of the PI project Determine sources for data collection Train staff on new processes Develop new process Create a project timeline Write mission and vision statements Collect and analyze data Present options to leadership and gain approval Assess the environment for unintended consequences of the process change Plan a celebratory party for the project team Continually analyze data to evaluate the new process for effectiveness Initiate the new process Case Study Questions 1. Using the PI process life cycle, categorize each of the tasks listed into one of the five steps. 2. Develop a Gantt chart that lists the five steps and the corresponding tasks that would be appropriate in that step. Remember to think about activities that are dependent on one another or that may overlap in your line.
