Review the following video.
>> Your company is planning to
undergo a major transformation by
moving to a digitized based operation using
artificial intelligence or AI
and automation to improve service.
The transformation has three parts,
people, process, and technology.
You have been hired as
the new division manager
to oversee the people
part of the transformation based on
your digital leadership experience.
For this transformation to be successful,
you must convince the mid-level managers
to champion the change and convince
employees that this transformation is
not like the others that
have failed in the past.
You are charged with ensuring
mid-level managers have the tools and
resources to lead effectively
during this transformation initiative.
You must provide your supervisor
with a plan which
will be used as part of
the overall transformational roadmap.
Your plan will also be shared with
employees for transparency and buy-in.
Instructions
Complete the following for this week’s assignment.
1. Select a company. The preference is to use your current employer to make these assignments as practical as possible. You may use this selected company for upcoming assignments, or choose a different one to stretch yourself.
2. Research your selected company. This research will be used to support your memo and action plan documents.
3. Create a 1 to 2-page memo (APA only required for citations in text and the reference pages should be in APA format) that provides your supervisor with your framework for implementing three (3) of the seven (7) “Pillars of Digital Leadership” identified in the Skrabut, S. A. (2014) article that you believe will positively impact digital transformation (i.e., convincing mid-level managers to be change champions and convincing employees that this transformation is not like others that have failed in the past).
4. As you prepare your three (3) recommendations, consult with the AI of your choice (such as Perplexity AI, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude AI) to give your ideas for how to implement them at your business. Remember to cite where you are using AI ideas in your paper.
5. Develop a 1-page action plan using the template below to provide your supervisor with details about how you plan to implement your 3 pillars of the digital leadership framework to prepare mid-level managers and employees for the transformation effort.
