Discussion, you will need to watch two films:
The Grand Budapest Hotel and a film of your choice from the provided list.
Film One
The Grand Budapest Hotel (Wes Anderson. 2014)
Wes Anderson is known for his unique style and look. His compositions and mise-en-scene set him apart and so much of it has to do with the production designs: the sets, the costumes, the props, all are purposefully chosen and placed to enhance Anderson’s themes and style. While watching this film, notice the vibrant color pallet, the whimsical set design, and the eccentric costumes and make-up. The film is also a superb example of Anderson’s ability to tell stories visually and create a complex narrative with multiple timelines and aspect ratios.
