DISCUSSION

Select three peer-reviewed latest (last 2-3 years) scholarly articles that are directly relevant to any research problem. After carefully reading and annotating each article, craft a mini literature synthesis (500–600 words) in which you:

1.    Briefly summarize the core findings of each article (no more than 2–3 sentences per article).

2.    Critically evaluate how each study contributes to understanding or solving your research problem.

3.    Identify a clear “gap” or limitation in the current literature based on your analysis.

4.    Propose a specific research question or direction that your own study could pursue to address this gap.

Your synthesis should not be a collection of summaries. Instead, it must demonstrate your ability to connect, compare, and apply existing research in a way that informs and shapes your own inquiry.

Purpose:This task is designed to help you move beyond collecting citations and toward constructing a focused, argument-driven literature review. It also builds the analytical foundation for your dissertation work.

To earn full credit, you must post at least 500-600 words and cite two outside scholarly resources and your textbook (at least three sources)
