Principles of Macroeconomics
Project
Each member of the class is encouraged to become part of a study group consisting of two to six
students. This group will work together and prepare topic related to principle of macroeconomics
to the discussion cases/problem sets. Once a group is formed it cannot be changed, so please choose
your groups CAREFULLY.
The project should include the following five elements:
1. Introduction:
A brief introduction to the topic and the issue that will be addressed (4 mark)
2. Significance of the issue:
Why this topic is important to study? (3 marks)
3. Literature review
A summary of at least three academics articles related to the chosen topic (3 marks)
4. Evidence and data sources
A discussion of a real case related to the topic (preferably using graphs and figures) (3
marks)
5. Conclusion:
What you hope to say at the end of the project (i.e., possible outcomes or conclusions) (3
marks)
6. References:
At least 8 references (4 marks)
After the completion of the report, students should have a good idea about the worthwhile news
items regarding their topics.
Project due: May 10th (Late reports will be penalized a letter grade for each day).

Alasala Colleges has a 0% tolerance policy on plagiarism. The maximum similarity
percentage (Turn-it-in) allowed is 30%. Groups with turn-it-in similarity percentage above
30% (up to 60%) will automatically lose 50% of the total mark. The other 50% will be

percentage above 60% will be given ZERO.
