GLOBAL EXPRESSIONS PROJECT

ART:21 ACROSTIC POETRY PSA PROJECT


For your next solo/global project you will be asked to use both your
technological, creative and public speaking skills to produce an EKPHRASIS/PSA ACROSTIC poetry presentation based on themes of
our current state of Global Affairs.

You will be asked to create a presentation that will leave your audience both educated and entertained by the breadth, depth and relevance of your exhibition.

What to do:

· Read the following: ACROSTIC POETRY FORM –POEM MUST BE ACROSTIC


· Review:


·
Choose a theme- social, religious, political, racial, function, form etc. and decide what the “theme” of your poetry will be.

· You are encouraged to take
smart phone-photography of images, print, scenes that relates to your theme..

· Write an original poem in the

ACROSTIC
format applicable to your visual choices, past readings and your topic & theme.

· Gather and create a Prezi OR other presentation

· [DO NOT USE POWERPOINT]

· DO NOT USE IMAGES FROM THE INTERNET

· Using various forms of media where applicable [video, slides handouts, interactive, music, artwork].

· Research 3 facts [LOGOS] to support your topic to be incorporated in your presentation. Cite these as URL links below each fact

· Embedded in your
EKPHRASIS/PSA will be a link to you
speaking in your 30 second “Closing Statement” [ETHOS, PATHOS, LOGOS] posted as a YOUTUBE or TIKTOK VIDEO, INSTAGRAM OR OTHER VIDEO SOURCE.

Format:

The items in your presentation should include the following
:

1. An image you have taken with your smart phone OR other device

2. Title of your poem title and your original poem connected to your image –Copyright on poem-SEE BELOW

3. A PUBLISHED- NOTABLE QUOTE THAT IS RELEVANT TO YOUR TOPIC- PUT QUOTE AND PERSON WHO SAID IT

4. A personal image or self portrait (Modifed or Not) with
a personal manifesto SEE sample in Unit 1.

5. AN IMAGE SELECTED FROM THE

ART:21 WEBSITE
150 PLUS ARTISTS THAT CHARACTERIZES YOUR THEME. SEE BUTTON ON BLACKBOARD

6. Three facts [Logos]that support your topic-Cited as URL links below each fact

7. A URL link to your Youtube 30 second- 1 MINUTE video/audio “Closing Statement”.

8. Your name and “Intellectual Copyright”
