HCI-316 – Group Presentation
In this group project, teams of 3–5 students will collaborate to explore and present exciting
developments in digital health innovation within the Middle East, with a particular focus on
Saudi Arabia (KSA). The goal is to analyze the significance, implementation, and impact of
specific e-health technology in the region.

Project Requirements:

Group Size: 3–5 students

Presentation Format: PowerPoint (PPT) or an equivalent format, using the SEU cover page

Slide Count: 20–25 slides

Content Sources: Minimum of 3 scholarly sources (peer-reviewed journal articles)
alongside reputable industry reports, news articles, and government publications. All sources
must be cited in APA style (both in-text citations and a reference list).

Presentation Style: Clear, engaging, and well-structured with effective visuals and audience
interaction.

Project Scope:
Your group will select a digital health innovation that plays a crucial role in enhancing
healthcare operations or transforming healthcare delivery in Saudi Arabia. The technology
could range from telemedicine and artificial intelligence (AI) applications to blockchain in
health records or wearable health monitoring devices.
Your presentation should be compelling and should effectively cover the following
aspects:
1. Introduction (Context & Background): Provide an overview of the current healthcare system and
its digital transformation efforts in the chosen region. And highlight the key healthcare challenges in
the region that digital health innovations aim to address.
2. Chosen Technology & Its Significance: Introduce one or more key digital health innovations
currently shaping the industry in the chosen region. Explain why this technology is important and how
it aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and healthcare modernization efforts if applicable.
3. Case Studies & Real-World Applications: Present concrete case studies or real-world
implementations of the chosen technology.
4. Impact & Discussion: Analyse the short-term and long-term impact of the technology on key
stakeholders, for example:

Patients (accessibility, quality of care, affordability)
