Hello I Am …. Family, Friends, and Community Presentation

Directions: I am excited to get to know you and for you to really introduce yourself to your peers. This is an introductory assignment. The goal of this assignment is to build rapport, strengthen friendships, and establish ourselves as a “community of learners” within this course. So, you will do the following:

Create a PowerPoint Presentation entitled: Hello I Am ……… Welcome to: My Family, Friends, and Community Presentation. Your presentation must contain at least 8 slides that provide information, you would like to share with the class, about yourself, your family (immediate and extended family), facts about your community, your experiences, your work, hobbies, talents, your favorite pet, life goals, etc. The introductory and closing slide of your PowerPoint Presentation will not be counted in the grade. Be creative, share pictures, poetry, songs, quotes of motivation, and graphics that represent who you are as you sum up for us “Hello, I Am…” Remain scholarly in your presentation. Remember, this is a class. Upload and submit your presentation under this area for the instructor viewing.
Please be sure to include enough information about you to help us establish a community of learners who want to support, encourage, and motivate each other. This assignment carries a weight of fifty points will be earned for creating and posting your PowerPoint.
You will also upload the same presentation in the discussion board for your peers to review and respond. You must make a minimum of 5 replies to 5 of your classmates’ postings over the duration of the assignment in the discussion board. Remember that your replies should include correct grammar and spelling and contribute to the building of community through scholarly discussion. Make sure that you begin each reply with the name of the person that you are replying to. Make sure that each reply contributes to the building of community and adds to the discussion. Maintain a professional tone, be respectful and non- confrontational. Introduce yourself and thank your peers for sharing their Family, Friends and Community Presentation.
